The search, analytics, and database communities are buzzing with excitement as the countdown to OpenSearchCon 2023 begins. This second annual conference will be a 3-day event in Grand Sheraton Seattle on 27-29 September.
This year’s conference program is divided into four tracks to reflect the community’s interests in search, analytics, security, and observability, as these are the primary use cases for OpenSearch.
Canonical is a proud member of the OpenSearch community and actively participated in OpenSearchCon 2022. We are excited to participate in this year’s edition with a booth and two keynotes.
Pedro Leão da Cruz, Engineering Manager at Canonical, will present OpenSearch’s vector capabilities, which can store embeddings generated by machine learning algorithms and are useful for Large Language Model (LLM) use cases. Learn more about this talk.
If you’re interested in this topic, you can also watch the webinar Future-proof AI applications with OpenSearch as a vector database. You’ll get insights to give your generative AI models a broader and deeper data pool with a suitable vector database.
On the OpenSearch infrastructure side, Alastair Flynn will provision a cloud in under five minutes. The talk will explore the advantages of local deployment, testing, and evaluation of OpenSearch, emphasising the requirements for enterprise-grade deployments. Learn more about this talk.
As many of you know, Canonical’s contribution to open source projects extends well beyond Ubuntu. We are also amplifying the impact of projects like OpenSearch with two specific initiatives:
The Snap is an easy-to-use and secure OpenSearch® software package that can be used in any Linux environment.
Charmed OpenSearch® IAAS Operator
The Charmed OpenSearch Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) operator is used to automate the deployment, management, and orchestration of OpenSearch clusters on any infrastructure – including private clouds.
Hear about production-grade Large Language Models (LLMs) from raw data to model serving in one platform. Get answers to your most common AI/ML questions. Meet our team around the world in the Canonical AI Roadshow.
