/usr/share/doc/curl/NEWS.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/curl/changelog.Debian.gz

Step 5: Check Version

You can also check the current installed version by using curl --version command as shown below.

cyberithub@ubuntu:~$ curl --version

Step 6: Using curl

Now that curl is installed in the system, it is time to use it to transfer data with URL. Here we are going to download flutter SDK from official website by using below curl command where -o option is used for specifying the output filename.

cyberithub@ubuntu:~$ curl -o flutter_linux_3.13.0-stable.tar.xz https://storage.googleapis.com/flutter_infra_release/releases/stable/linux/flutter_linux_3.13.0-stable.tar.xz
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
100 537M 100 537M 0 0 7487k 0 0:01:13 0:01:13 --:--:-- 7605k

Step 7: Check all the Available Options

You can check all the options available with curl utility by using curl --help command as shown below.

cyberithub@ubuntu:~$ curl --help
Usage: curl [options...]
-d, --data HTTP POST data
-f, --fail Fail silently (no output at all) on HTTP errors
-h, --help Get help for commands
-i, --include Include protocol response headers in the output
-o, --output Write to file instead of stdout
-O, --remote-name Write output to a file named as the remote file
-s, --silent Silent mode
-T, --upload-file Transfer local FILE to destination
-u, --user Server user and password
-A, --user-agent Send User-Agent to server
-v, --verbose Make the operation more talkative
-V, --version Show version number and quit

This is not the full help, this menu is stripped into categories.
Use "--help category" to get an overview of all categories.
For all options use the manual or "--help all".
