How to Find httpd.conf file Location on CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Mac and Others

This article lists the default installation layouts for Apache httpd.conf on different operating systems and distributions. For new users, it is difficult to find the httpd.conf file on the server. They are various kind of Linux distributions in the market, So every distribution has httpd.conf file but it not located in the same location path. The httpd.conf directory differs across Unix & Linux becomes like Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Mandriva, Mac OS X, and XAMPP. Various third-party distributors modify the layout to conform to local policies. So the following sections show you where the file is located in server for different distributions.

Note: Apache httpd.conf default path /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf
